Head turner.

On 5th of April, there is actually 3 sporting event for me to participate.
  • Goodwill Games - Volleyball Tournament
  • UTAR Sports Carnival - Futsal Tournament & Captain Ball
  • Playing Futsal for my mum's company.
I wonder why, are people feeling rather competitive on the 5th of April?

Above all that, I chose to participate in the Goodwill Games. Without doubt it's the most prestigious compared to the others.

So, my volleyball team consist of Dillion, Aaron, Vincent, Philip, Paul, Meng Wai, Choon Seng and myself.

We all were representing St. Ignatius Church, Dillion's church.

---

On the day itself ;

We had a rather bad start.
Everyone gathered at the church.
When it's time to move, Vincent can't move his car.

Due to the car's anti-theft system I suppose, the alarm of the car went on and the car can't be started.

Moments later, the car can be started, take off time!
**

But after traveling as far as zero displacement(LDP in front of the church), the car's alarm went on again and we had to stop to deal with the car.

Finally, Vincent manage to break the car's security system code or something like that? So off we go! To Matshusita Stadium/Sports Complex!

On our way, we stumbled upon this car. L or P?
I'm confused.

---

We all settled down at that place, and start off with our volleyball match!

Vincent attempting a serve.

**

Suddenly, I saw Mr. Jacob Loh. Spoke to him, asked him if Justin is around.

He replied, "Yes he is, he's participating in the 4x400m and 400m event later"

I was shocked, I didn't know they have track events!
Met up with Justin and Adrian Sankar. So I was offered to participate in 400m and 4x400m! I agreed on the spot to run despite being unprepared :p. Haha impromptu run!
I am then passed a spike shoe of my size.
I was merely a substitute for volleyball, so my absence wouldn't have that great effect on our team.

Lovely. I never thought I would participate in track events again!
So instead of playing volleyball, I go run run run.

They do have great competitors there. There's a 400m state runner, MSSD 1500m champion there and many other strong runners. Don't play play.
The 400m state champion's lead from my position was unpleasantly far. Monster la they all :\.

4x400m. Anticipating the baton to be passed to me.

Arghh.

**

For the results;
4th for 400m.
3rd for 4x400m.
4th for Volleyball.

Despite my absence, my futsal team for UTAR Sports Carnival got 2nd and the my Captain Ball team won 1st!

The 4x400m relay runners. Daniel, Adrian, Justin and myself.

Arguably one of the best quality medal I ever received.

The volleyball team! :]

Shah Alam is not a good place to be under the rain. Due to the fact it has numerous factories around, the acid rain is BAD. As I had run 400m under the rain, I caught a cold :\.

---

Later the night attended YuSzen's birthday dinner.

Haha sorry I wasn't there to witness you being sodomized earlier in the morning.

---

As for today, I woke up really late as I was exhausted from yesterday, my dad brought us to O&S restaurant for lunch.

Met KhyLi, YiChing and family as well as YoongKen and family, with my half-awake look.

Being a 'ke-po-chi', I took this picture. It happened somewhere near the restaurant.

Such awkward position.

---

Oh,

Meet my new pet, Dingo!

---

Last but not least.

So long and good bye Andrew.
Rest in peace.
You will be dearly missed by your family, friends and acquaintances.

My Last & Final Sports Day.

So hows everything for me?

Sports Day was great. As the captain of Kesatria, to ALL Kesatria members, thank you for contributing the greatness we've achieved so far. Everyone of you made the difference. Too bad, luck wasn't on our side, as we came up short. It was so close really.

I'm absolutely amazed by the spirit of competition portrayed by every house this year. However I can't avoid saying that I'm utterly impressed and proud of the Kesatria Athletes, Marchers, & Cheerleaders. I see hard work in progress, sweat and everything.

If possible, I would like to mention everyone's name but there's too many. However, Kesatria was so lucky as 2 of the best female sprinters in SMKDJ is in Kesatria. None other than Li Wei & Yasmine. Speaking pf impressive sprinter, how can I miss out Ariff. Most of you are still young and plenty more awaiting you guys in the future. All the best then. Thanks for those who helped out for the flag/banner/bunga manga, supported me.

My flag drew by Yung Tyng. Painted by MengLeong & Co. Nice right?

Great shot by Luke.

Its just my nature to be disappointed when I feel like that I let others down, So that's how I felt at the end of the day.

So the final standing ;
#1 Hebat
#2 Kesatria
#3 Maju
#4 Berjaya
#5 Unggul

We could have got 1st place so easily. But due to the many unfortunate circumstances.

---

Check this picture out.

Its me, finishing 3rd in the final event, 4x400m. Which means Hebat won it by slightest margin. As you can see, I'm running my ass off and SerSiang can be seen overjoyed at the bottom left corner of the picture. A picture speak a thousand words.

That's Christina in yellow, the girl who owned the rest in 800m!Christina, I'm very proud of you!

I'm happy I see determination in the eyes of the Kesatria athletes as they hunger for more in the years to come.

Anyway another achivement - Kesatria emerged as Champions for Semangat DJ-ian hahahaa.COOL RIGHT.

I would like to HONOUR the Gold Medalists by listing them out;

L3 Lontar Peluru - Ariff
L3 1500m - Swimmer Dude(sry i forgot his name)
P3 Lompat Jauh - Wan Anis Yasmine
P3 100m - Wan Anis Yasmine

Sukantara - KESATRIA : EVERYONE'S A GOLD MEDALIST:)

This year's special, the title for Sukantara's shared by 2 Houses due to the same collection of points.

Very well done:).

Kesatria Marching Squad.

----

So, wondering how did Meng Leong perform this year?
Not too impressive, but I tried my best and I can say I'm proud of myself.

200m - 4th [25.7sec]
Basil & I at our disappointing 200m race.
400m - 2nd [59sec] - SILVER
800m - 3rd [3min 26sec] - BRONZE
4x100m - 2nd [49.8] - SILVER
4x400m - 3rd [?] - BRONZE

*pictures might be uploaded.(aliff can send?)

I'm just a runner who can't run.

---

Watch out for next year's KESATRIA!

So, lose some weight will ya? :)

Saringan.

As most of you know , yesterday was a pre-sports day also known as, Saringan Day. I was suppose to take part in 200m, 400m & 800m that day.

I'm not the best of athletes.
Just a runner who can't run.

I've got Bronze for 800m.
3rd for 200m & 1st for 400m in my respective hits.

We were posing for the camera for a "wear-the-spikes" session. others were..random haha.

400m, 4x100m & 4x400m shall be decided next week on the actual Sport's Day.
However, I was more than impressed with the athletes from Kesatria.
They did absolutely well.

All goes well, till I witness something that I would never want to happen.
Ariff dislocated his left wrist, due to a bad fall in his 100m race.
What the heck, he was trashing to rest of the L3 dudes in that race, but his body leaned too forward and he went down, real hard.

That's Ariff right before he fell. Pictures from Aliff

Ariff,its just saringan, you shouldn't over-strain yourself!

Ahhhh, I saw his hand, it was very disturbing.
& I thought the PBSM or St. John could have moved in a better pace and do a better job instead.

That's Ariff's hand. Saw the bone?

Later on, we informed his dad and he came to pick Ariff up, and straight to Damansara Specialist Hospital. He undergo surgery at 7pm yesterday. He has 3 metal rods in his left hand right now.
Eh, means the magnet can get attracted to your hand?haha.

Anyway, get well soon you tough boy, as how your friends described you.
Here's a little tribute to you.

His beloved spike shoe.

He's the tall dude in the middle,
yes I know he's one admirable athlete at heart.

Ariff is in no condition to compete on Sports Day.

I felt for him really, he wanted to win the Olahragawan title so badly.
He could easily claimed the Olahragawan title if he was in good shape.

His absence will be a great loss to Kesatria and his 4x100m team, definitely.
There goes Kesatria's gold medalist.

The current standing ;
#1 HEBAT
#2 KESATRIA
#3 MAJU
#4 BERJAYA
#5 UNGGUL

And it shall be finalize and decided on Sport's Day!

Taman SEA's Sports Day / Sony Ericsson z610i Up For Sale!

Today was...kinda weird.

Taman SEA invited our school(SMKDJ) to take part in their Larian Jemputan 4x200m.
So the same gang, Justin Basil Khairil and myself are in the team.
Eager to take part, but we guys did not train what so ever before this because we were busy with tuition and activities.

-----

So today we gather at school early in the morning to settle our homework stuffs and so on, then waited for Mr. K to settle his office work/school matters.

We spent hours waiting in the canteen, waiting for Mr. K while Khairil and Basil indulge in the roti canai.

------

Khairil called his friend from Taman SEA, enquiring what time will our event be. She mentioned it would take place at 9.30am.

With the sense of urgency, we rushed Mr. K so he could ferry us to Taman SEA. Mind you, the clock shows that it is 9.33am already.

Khairil's friend was calling us , saying we should be there already to lapor diri and all.
So as Mr. K drove the car into Taman SEA school, we rushed out of his car and run to the starting line with our school bags in front of the Taman SEA spectators, hahahaha.

"Inilah Budak-Budak DJ"
:)

Then we instantly change to our running attire and move to the track.

Taman SEA's coach giving a short briefing before the run.

---

Justin's the first runner, Basil second, I'm third and Khairil the last runner.

Justin started the run despite injuring his ankle days before.

Justin trying out with the starting block.

----

Justin started..with full burst of energy, but as he run pass the turning, he fell!
The whole crowd went,
"OHHHH"
The turn is extremely sharp, you can't blame him.

When he fell I instantly thought,
"Wah GG la, confirm last place ledi"
cause the gap with the second last was pretty big!

Fortunately, Basil manage to close up the gap, and as I received the baton, I almost fall down at the sharp turning too, but I manage to cut a runner.

Later on, was Khairil's turn to continue the run and he manage to beat another dude, resulting a third placing for us.

3rd placing for the team who arrived late/ didn't warm up/ had an injured runner/ had a runner who fell down in the race, not too bad la right?:p

We definitely would beat the other team if Justin didn't fall down!

Justin receiving treatment from the bad fall.

DJ and Taman SEA athletes.

---

Right after that was prize presentation. I likey the medal.

Justin the Injured but Sexy 1st Runner.

Basil the Lazy/Slumber 2nd Runner.hahaha.

MengLeong the Fat 3rd Runner:D.

Khairil the Speedy Gonzalez/ 4th runner.

Not long later, we headed off. It felt as if we went to the school, take their medal and ran off, haha.

But we did manage to meet up with some of our Taman SEA mates, nice seeing you all:).

Oh oh and I manage to witness Rina run, she was owning the rest of the girls in 200m, as expected haha.

After that, Justin stayed back to catch up with his Taman SEA friends, Khairil and Basil went home, while I returned to class for Chemistry and Biology lesson, haha.

So that kinda wraps up what happened in the morning, so till the next time, See ya:).

Unwell

good things in life are hard to find - its not over/chris daughtry

Wednesday night, I was all so busy pushing my fellow 4x100m mates, Basil, Khairil to train on Thursday morning.

Khairil : Haiya lazy laa.
Basil : We DJians, no need to train one.

Well for Justin, I couldnt contact cause he was away the whole day to play computer game? And his handphone was stolen.

Actually they are eager to do well, so the bottom line is, the training on Thursday morning is on.

----------------

Things didn't go my way though.

For dinner, I ate "siew kai", also known as roasted chicken. Those of you that know my bad eating habit, I also had a large amount of chillies. Before I sleep, I had a tummy upset. It was so bad, I didn't even touch the scrumptious supper that my dad bought. Even my sisters felt weird, as I usually wallop everything before they even get the chance to hold the chopstick.

So instead of joining the gang for supper, I decided to finish Terry's Trial Examination paper. When I'm only just half way through, my tummy ache so badly, I rub on some "Fong Yau" , the oilment with the sign on an arm holding an axe and went to bed right away. It was 1am then.

Around 2am, I couldn't stand it anymore, my body's telling me "Go to the toilet, you need to reject some of these stuffs in your alimentary canal." I throw up a large amount of "stuffs". Thought the pain's over, so I brushed my teeth again and go back to dreamland.

One hour later, the pain strikes again. I vomitted almost every single thing possible. I can feel some of the "rejected item" were around my chest and it was tough to get them out. Soon, I find myself coughing out a small amount of blood. Things got worst, I had loose motion. Once again I figured "man, this night sucks. it couldn't get worst."

At around 4am plus, my body proved me wrong again. I rushed to my washroom and start rejecting food out again, probably what's left in the previous "rejecting attempts". It felt like I'm going to vomit my gut out, seriously. The routine of coughing out blood happened again.

My body felt extremely cold, so instead of switching off the air-con to my brother's discomfort, I moved to an unoccupied room and slept there. I had Panadol before that because my head was aching.

I couldn't make it for softball training at 7.30am, my body didn't allow me to do so. My dad brought me to a clinic to be attended by a general doctor. Dr. Wong gave me tablets and pills, off we go cause I know I have to attend our 4x100m training after all the trouble of getting everyone together.

As I reached the school, I was motionless. But I'm telling my body, "Do it, do it". I never felt worst, as 3 rounds of jogging seems like the longest distance I ever jogged. Then when we do sprinting, again I felt like vomitting.

I couldn't help much but to lie down helplessly. Justin, Basil and Khairil were very understanding towards my difficulty, so we didn't do much. After forcing myself to do a few sprints, my body really couldn't take it anymore. So, we stopped.

I lay down on the cement pavement near the hall, like a dead corpse. My body was really feeling very, very uneasy. Basil was being an angel(angel, haha) by offering Justin and I a ride home. I felt so uneasy until I couldn't even direct Basil's mom the way to my house. Fortunately, Justin was there and he did the directing.

As soon as I reached home, I ran to the toilet and start vomitting. You must be guessing,

"Eh this Meng Leong, vomit vomit so many times, still got what to vomit out?"

To end your wild guess, I rejected PLAIN WATER, that I drank before I did sprinting.
WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH MY DAMN BODY=(.

I showered, and went straight to bed. Skipped Terry's tuition and dining at Lion Betti's house. My maid prepared "mee swa", but I was motionless, I couldn't even force myself up from the bed. Around 4pm, I finally got that tiny winy energy to move to that bowl of "mee swa" placed in my room. Guess what, it was attacked by ants. Great.

So I chose biscuits to be my lunch. I tried munching them by its not getting down. So I got Shandy to help my push the biscuits down my throat.

Well you only need half a brain to guess what I did next. If you have half a brain, I went back to bed again. Slept till 9pm, my maid prepared "mee swa" again for dinner=_=. zzzzzz.

I only have the appetite to finish half the bowl. And damn, I rushed to the toilet and rejected the "mee swa". ARGH. What the hell is in my body now? Just biscuits and Shandy?
Now I'm right, I've always thought Shandy is the Real Thing.

-----------------

The following day, I felt better, but not that good. So I forced myself to attend the Current/Past Board of Directors lunch, at Kim Gary.

I ordered Boiled Coke with Ginger, which I thought would be suitable for an unwell dude like me, but the taste of it is sooooooooooooooo bad. Kim Gary even serves other beverages such as...

"Milk with egg, Water with egg..."

+

=?

The idea of mixing water or milk with egg is like drinking the mixture of vinegar with additional lime juice? That's so wrong.
Mhmm I don't like waste money on stuffs I dislike, but if any of you find such drinks worth trying, tell me.

My mom, being old fashioned and superstitious, she figured my bad condition is due to "disturbance of spirits", rather than just food poisoning. So she made me drank talismanic water, hoping it would cure me.

Friday wasn't that bad, I stopped rejecting food:D.

-----------

This morning I was asked by Cheeming to play for his team against Joshua's team. I mentioned I'm not feeling well but he insisted me to turn up. Both team have this little rivalry going on.

I thought I'm back fit, so I started running around. Then my body proved me wrong again>=(. I really really couldn't run. So I practically stood there and did nothing much. The kids did most of the job and the score was 2-2 by half time. My tummy got upset AGAIN, I couldn't stand it anymore so I went home. Plus, it was raining quite unforgivingly.

------------------

Now, I'm just worried how am I gonna do in KL International Marathon tomorrow morning. Am I gonna run, and start vomitting? Or should I just walk? I want medaaaaaaal=(. But most likely won't be getting any medal tomorrow. Sigh.

To rub some salt on the wound, my MSSD 4x100m is on Monday. GREAT. Or the regular Dota players would say, "GG la."
Eh, in case things got worst, who wanna take my place as the third runner?
YongMeng?
KitWeng?
WeiKit?
Ethan?
Shafiq?

i belong to myself.

Rare update. I just couldn't find the passion like I used to have working on this blog last time. I might not be as busy as a bee, but sorry to say, please don't expect many updates or whatsoever.

Right, Chinese New Year was nice, but not great.
Like I predicted, no ThianHong, no fun laaa.

--------------

On the 24th Feb was Natalia's birthday. It took place at Riana Green and its a pool party. Guess who I saw there?

Marion Caunter!
In a dark pink spaghetti top with shorts!
woohoo.
Haha, SerSiang thought she was some girl attending Nat's party=p.
damn, she's gorgeous.

Later on, Sonia saw HANNAH TAN.

I mean like, what the hell, I don't mind camping there to wait for them to pass by again! Who wants to join me?

SerSiang, Dina and I felt a bit out of place but HengJoon is lifeless and lame enough to entertain us, haha.

----------------------

Lately, I participated in MSSD zon track and field and I took part in 4x400m and 4x100m.
We did badly for 4x400m, we got 5th.
Justin's the first runner, we thought he could give us a lead but no, he was d 5th to arrive and me, YongMeng and Eugene couldnt do much to catch up with the runners ahead.

Well for 4x100m, we got 1st in our saringan.
In the finals, the baton passing between me and Khairil wasnt perfect and we got 4th.
For the coming MSSD, we have no choice but to train much harder.

The girls, YiChing, Liwei, Sofia and gang did pretty well and proceed to MSSD.

damn, off to revise.
