Up North!

I don't usually do overdue posts, but I sat for some insurance exam and had no time to blog. Now that the insurance exam is over..

**

After travelling to the east coast, we opt to travel north instead. Where to?
PENANG!
it's like a couple trip, Kent and Chian Wei, Jac and I :).
--

First, we meet up with Shih Yeong at Juru, and had lunch at Auto-City.

--

With approximately only 3 hours drive from PJ to Penang thanks to Jac-the-pro-driver, we settle down at Regency Heights, Jac's cousin's place.

& then meet our Penang lang tour guide who don't really have wondrous knowledge of Penang :P.

After much negotiation, we decided to visit Bukit Bendera.

Ming Yeong the Penang Lang tour guide.

Kent and Chian Wei.

Jac and I.

Killing time while waiting for that lousy train :p.

As you can see our excited Penang tour guide on the left as this is his 2nd time going up Bukit Bendera :p.

After a much grueling ride, we reached the summit. The view from the top was breath-taking..

What you guys peeping at? Someone's bird bird? Haha.

Kent, Chian Wei, myself, Jac, MingYeong and LittleJohn, over looking a partial part of Penang Island.

Kent's big and long.. canon. haha.

--

The weather was considerably hot, so we opt to cool by feasting on..

Ice Kacang! uhh, damn damn good.

ROJAK BUAH! MY FAVOURITE :D.

Iced Mixed Fruits!

---

Agenda of the trip?
Eat-eat-eat - & - EAT.

Gurney Drive for supper.

Very lively Gurney Drive hawker stalls.

--

The next day, Jac's cousin bought us brunch!

Asam Laksa, Wan Tan Mee, Prawn Mee, and Fried Kuey Teow(Not seen).

--

Kek Lok Si

A very excited Kent upon reaching Kek Lok Si.

--

We prayed, seek blessings and climbed the Pagoda.

At the Pagoda ;

& you see Guan Yin in construction at the background. We'll be back again after the construction is done :).

--

Recalled we had Asam Laksa for brunch?

But Air Hitam's Asam Laksa is not to be missed!

Truly, a mouth-watering bowl of Asam Laksa.

--

Off to Batu Feringgi!

All wet, after playing Banana Boat. Really got to try jet-ski the next time!

--

Happy Belated Birthday shoutout for my 'Quin' ;)
I'm blessed, to have you.

Semester Break!

Time to rest the mind, time to enjoy!

12th May : Project Sushi

Jac bought the ingredients and made sushi in my house with myself and all my siblings :).

Kuantan - Kuala Terengganu Trip

13th May

This trip was supposed to be among Jac's ex-schoolmate(Sheau Pey, Yen Sern, Allan) and I tagged along. She drove to Kuantan and in no time we reached our destination.

In the matter of 2 days, we visited 8 different beaches if I'm not mistaken. Beach-themed. Cool.

Jac sure do have friends wide spread over the Peninsular. She has aplenty NS friends at Kuantan and old buddies at Kuala Terengganu. So we've got no fear of being clueless around. Worst come to worst, GPS step in and saves the day :).

Pictures are from my handphone, Sheau Pey & Allan.

Teluk Chempedak Beach

---
Look what's that -

Decomposing body of a dead tortoise :\

--

Dinner - I just love good and cheap food!

--

During night time at Teluk Chempedak Beach, you will come across this -

A dude dressed as a mannequin, moves like a robot, that accepts donation. Ahha such ingenius way to lure tourists to the beach :p.

---

:).

14th May

Lembing - Bukit Panorama

We planned to go there at the wee hours in the morning to catch much said beautiful sun rise view, but failed due to the fact it rained and we slept late.

Bukit Panorama - hiking this place does test your endurance and stamina, mind the steep stairs.
Hike up this hill as morning exercise regularly and you'll be Mr./Miss. Fit in no time.

Yen Sern giving his trademark thumbs-up to express his sense of accomplishment reaching the hill top.

--

On the way to Kuala Terengganu, we stop by to buy famous east coast's salted fish.
***

15th May

Kuala Terengganu

---

Crystal Mosque

Zhen Kai, Jac's friend who show us around when we were at Kuala Terengganu.

Allan, Yen Sern(still with that thumbs-up), Sheau Pey, Jac and myself, before leaving back to KL.

16th May

Accompanied Belle and Ethan 'study' at McDs, & discovered how to take pictures with my laptop cam. Haha.

End of 1;1

1 last paper - Quantitative Techniques I, and I'm done with Year 1, Semester 1.
Being at somewhere else which is not home for 5 months proved that there are so much, so much to learn.

Being at Kampar, if you have an appetite for Char Siew Fan (Barbeque Pork Rice), I would recommend you to eat Loong Foong Kok. The Char Siew Fan is merely RM3, where the serve chicken and duck meat as well. Loong Foong Kok is usually packed during lunch hour, with most customer feasting on either the duck, chicken or BBQ pork rice.

My Char Siew Fan. But cut down on your pork consumption though :D.

---

Last Thursday, Jac came over to Kampar, to visit and 'surprise' me :p.
Yes, I'm still having my exams. But she was being an angel, she helped me tidy up my room when I do my revision :).

Her gift for me - 7 months of being together 7 of 2 of my favourite chocolates! :D

Fuiyo, good girlfriend ;).

Tidy closet hehe.

Excuse my sleepy look, I was studying my arse off for the past few nights. Babe you look good ;).

Thanks babe, thanks for everything, truly appreciate it. :)

---
Look at what Shih Yeong introduced me to : -

MAHJONG TILES MADE OUT OF CARDBOARD. Not very fancy but are they creative in making use of their resources or what. *the cube with black tape is the dice x)

---

Sorry for a short and simple post, I'm gonna continue practising my Quantitative Techniques, paper's on Monday.

Sut set view from eastlake.

I'll be back this 12th of May, semester break till 31st May. Whoopee.
