Gong Hei Fatt Choi!

Jogging at Kampar is awesome. It is distinctively different compared to the places back at home. The following are shots taken when I went jogging.

Mining lake.

Nice going for that tyre. When you drive here, be vary of Bumps 'n' Dungs.

KTM train track.

Pui Yee the cili padi and I.

Pui Foong's Chocolate Cornflakes.

Then it was Chinese New Year.
Of gathering with family and friends, red packets, pineapple tarts, fried nga ku, gambling, and over-eating.

I returned to my mum's hometown, Teluk Intan.

My uncle and aunt's guests.

My grandparents has a total of 9 children all married with 9 other spouses, and almost 30 grandchildren. Can you imagine the crowd under 1 roof? :P.

Since there are so many of us, of course we have a few people who celebrates birthday together. What a mass gathering it was. Too bad I do not have the group picture, it's in the other camera.

& the grandparents still feeling the love.

Trip to Sungai Tiang, a fisherman village

& spent my whole day yesterday at my girlfriend's place. I had lunch there, chat with everyone, played Dota with her brother, & dinner. After that she came over to my place instead.

It was the first time my mum meet Jac, so Pui Foong described the situation is like 'First Day of School'. Hahaha. I can tell my mum couldn't stop scanning Jac, haha.

Somehow the feedbacks from my parents were extremely, positive :).

Ah, got to go!

Serene

How're you all doing so far since year '09 has started?

Hmm what can I say, I've already settle down at Kampar for 2 weeks. So far, so pretty good. Like mentioned on my title, it's serene here, having Mother Nature close in sight. However there will always be setbacks, missing the people back home.

I was back at KL for 4 days and manage to catch up with Candice Sow, attending Lee Jane's 18th and of course with my family and girlfriend.

The following are brief review of Kampar, more towards Westlake the place I'm living ;

  • Hills and lakes surrounding the Westlake residential area.
  • Fishing deems to be an 'in' passtime among the locals.
  • Ramli burger stalls aplenty.
  • Mc Donalds no where to be found.
  • Cantonese is widely spoken among the locals. (Even an Indian boy asked me for directions in Cantonese when I was jogging today)
  • 'Seafood' youngsters are very common.
  • Cheap food in abundance.
  • Bullshit in abundance too, literally. (Cow dung)

My cousin sister shows me around the place cause she's studying here as well. I'm really tired from today's long distance of cycling, jogging and walking. So I shall just share with you a few shots I took around the place.

In the Campus.

There are damn alot of storks around the lake, specificly this little isle on the lake.

The first time I heard the parking is full for bicycles. =_=

-----

'Feast' at Wei Yen's place. haha.

Pasar malammmmmmmmm every Wednesday night.

LOK LOK FTW!

It says RM0.60 Secucuk.
60CENTS LOK LOK FTW!!
I heard there's 50 cents lok lok but I've yet to come across it.

Coming to Kampar, you'll be reminded to taste the goodness of CB. For those who curse alot, CB stands for.. :)

...Actually CB is a famous chicken biscuit in Kampar ;).
Correction and Error exercise for you guys.
Underline the grammatical error and rewrite the sentence :).
----
Around the Old Town, you can come across many shop names.

Soon Seng, or better known as Paul :D.

Haha Perniagaan Elektrik & Perabot ML! My initials, nice one. But the abbreviation ML could stand for abundance of name, Mei Ling, Mui Lee, Man Long, Ma Lo, Mi Lo, Meh Lo okay it's rather pointless if I go on.

At Kampar's old town, don't forget to drop by at MENG LEONG's! Even the Chinese wording of the name of the shop is similar to mine :).

Man. Utd. is doing a great job surging up the Premier League table :D.

Start em' young. Ignore the belly.

Away.

Hi.

There were so many happenings lately, it was really hard to find time to just sit down in front of the computer, with a relaxed mind, feeling all laid back.

Now that I'm already at Kampar, I've plenty of time to do so. Not to forget, STUDY, the main reason I'm here, which I must constantly be reminded of.

The following are just shots that I took recently.

Believe it or not, I'm paid to sit down at Starbucks and drink these lovely delights.

*grins. 'Natural Beauty?' - inside joke. haha :D

Bye Hong, thank you for delighting us with your presence.

New Years at Port Dickson.
Would you guys be able to believe my girlfriend took 30mins from Port Dickson back to Kuala Lumpur?

Scaryy.
Motivating factor to speed - straight, empty road.

By the beach :).

Barbeque!
--
Behold, feast your eyes on the following drunk friends of mine.
Haha I've been told this is the first time these two intoxicated themselves with so much alcohol ahaha.

Here's Abigail, seems disgusted with the drunktards as we can observe haha.
-----
The day before I left for Kampar, Aunty Farah and Stephanie organised a small gathering for me. I had an awesome time there, thank you :).

& spending later that night with Jac:),

My girlfriend so adorable la :).

----
I drove my dad's Camry to Kampar, which took me 2 hours. If it wasn't by the strict monitoring of my dad on my speed, I believe I can reduce the travelling time much more :P.

The following are the shots I took within these 2 days.

Kampar's hottest shopping spot - Tesco.

A fat shopper.

Misty view outside Tesco.

Lot 1475, Manchester. The house I'm living in.

My room.

A very decent cyber cafe - Khakabo. With good computers, comfy couch and reasonably priced at RM2 per hour.
The lake by the campus, a popular spot for anglers.

Hmm what can say, the air's really fresh here and it's really cooling at night.
This morning I went to jog around the area and tomorrow I plan to do the same and explore the town more.

So if you miss me, just give me a call or buzz me on MSN I'll turn on my webcam :).

Babe, I miss you :(.
