KL International Marathon 2008

I am so not a long distance runner.

Cut short, I can roughly summarize my KL Marathon this year wasn't that good.
I really, really wasn't in the condition to race.

However, I just give it all and probably used every ounce of energy present in my tank.

For the 10km run, the category is 18 years and above. As long as you achieve any position from 1st to 500th, you will be eligible to receive a medal. It only matters if you get 1st, 2nd, 3rd for this event cause thats only when you win cash while there isn't much difference getting 4th or 500th.

Had Kevin close to me almost throughout the whole 10km.
We approached Dataran Merdeka together, but he has that extra boost so Kevin got 122th and I got 125th. Out of like erm a sea of runners. Ok laaa.

I rushed off to the washroom right after that.

Walked out.. & then I collapsed and passed out.
On some tar road behind a Silver MyVi is all I can remember.
It felt as if my life is taken out off me. I was totally blank and motionless.

Yup, you guessed it. No one came to my aid. Passerby and people around probably thought I... was taking a short nap? I suppose I collapsed for not less than half an hour.

It spoilt my day. I couldn't walk properly ; didn't enjoy much of the complementary drinks and cereal provided.

Right after I gain consciousness, I walked around the field, looking for familiar faces. When I saw Brian and Justin Loh, I shouted for their name with all my might and as soon they noticed me, I was relieved and couldn't help much but collapse again. Those guys initially wanted to do their regular-touch-me gay-ly routine, but soon learn that I wasn't okay.

Later on, I was helped out around by Wei Kit, Kevin. & Gene-Harn gave me a massage that made me feel much better. Thank you guys.

Wei Kit was delighted to obtain a medal, but the slight defect for him was he injured his ankle. All the hard time jogging paid off eh? :)
Kit Weng boy from NS was happy he got a medal too.
Paul Levine didn't have a good time during marathon either. He wasn't feeling well as well and he was injured resulting from stepping someone else's empty bottle.
Eugene and Adrian Sankar did rather well in their 21km. Very impressive.
Candice Sow shouldn't be left out. This sweet-but-steady girl got 96th for her 7km! What add to the fact of her being powerful was she still has the energy to go SHOPPING at the Pavillion!

Without doubt I can say that this year's competitors are definitely better runners.

Go go go!

& finally, what we came for.

+ a McD voucher too. ;)

I guess next would be, 21km?
21km for 2009! Maybe. :b

Hopefully I would be in good shape to race then!

Late March Update + Pre-KL International Marathon

I apologize for making you guys feast on only the pictures of me and my classmates for quite a duration of time.

Specially for BOBO aka WengFai,
Now I'm back in blogging mode. For the better or for the worst, you shall decide.

Recently, I watched Ah Long Pte Ltd with Kirsten & Daniel. Haha if you're a pure "Banana"(term for Chinese people who doesn't understand Chinese language) I reckoned it's gonna be hard for you to enjoy the movie. You'll probably end up being like Daniel (Daniel's a "Banana").
You would enjoy the movie to the fullest if you can understand Hokkien, Mandarin, and a bit of other dialects I couldn't quite remember.

The show is rather mild on the violence, and quite random.
They somehow ended up in a game of football using a durian?

I personally like the quote by Mark Lee, who was playing a Dancing Teacher cum Image Stylist with a dash of "Aqua-ness"(lack of testosterone) when he strikes back whoever who calls him "aqua".

"YOU ASK YOUR MOTHER LIE DOWN THERE SEE I MAKE HER PREGNANT THEN YOU CAN CALL ME YOUR AH PA"
by Mark Lee in the movie.

hahaha.

Fann Wong was asked to "show-some-breast" by her mother in that movie as well.

The other highlight was, the feature of famous veteran Singaporean blogger, Lao Zha Bor!

"Lao Zha Bor" simply means old lady in Hokkien.
She might be old be definitely youthful at heart!

Funnyman Mark Lee and Lao Zha Bor in Red! (very ANG!) [ang = red in Hokkien]

Lao Zha Bor with beautiful flowers!

--------

Besides that I also watched The Shutter, which is basically an English version of the Thailand Horror Biggie, what else but The Shutter with Dina.

It was slightly queer and eerie only at rare occasions.
Let me introduce you the ghost/haunting spirit of the movie, Megumi Tanaka, played by Megumi Okina who is a J-Pop singer.

Megumi, doesn't have a really ghost-ish make-up in that movie. She was pretty much her plain self. But very stalker-ish. You know what I mean.

After the whole show, I stood up with Dina, we both were kind of stunned for a moment.
We both saw a MEGUMI-look-a-like sitting behind us!

Megumi is rather friendly you see. She ... er... left a message in my chatterbox?

AHHHHHH.

Pre-Kuala Lumpur International Marathon

Reminiscence of last year, and if most of you possibly remember, I competed in last year's KL International Marathon for their 7km run with severe food poisoning and fever.

Well, this year is not very much different!
I had a really bad fever and food poisoning just a few days before KL Marathon.
The distinctive differences are this year my condition is much milder and I'm taking 10km.
But still, who wishes to compete in a marathon feeling unwell?

Tomorrow I will be going to Wisma OCM at KL with WeiKit, KitWeng and maybe a few others to collect our marathon shirt, number tag as well as settle our entry payment.

Hopefully I will be in good shape to race on Sunday.

KL Marathon participants, it is advised that you visit KL MARATHON SITE to be a much more informed participant.

& one more thing.
The mother who's cooler than the word cool.
Yes, you guessed it.
Aunt Farah has a facebook profile!
I just added her yesterday :)

Meet, TA2.

My class, TA2 of UTAR.

We were rehearsing some Public Speaking Presentation with skits in it.

Almost, everyone is in this picture.
Great people they are.
Haha I just realized there's freaking a lot of "Peace" sign. Hahaha.
You can tell most of them adore "seafood" .. ? :P

Events of Late.

Let's continue from the 12th of March, the day we got our SPM results.
Simply put it this way, I've been on an outing streak since then :b.

On that very day itself, we ex-Cengal students head off to Curve's Sakae Sushi for lunch.
As night falls, I went out with WeiGuan, Vincent, KhyLi, Sarah and JeeSern to Murni for supper/post-SPM result celebration.

--

The following day, the 13th, I attended Su-Queen's Pre-NS gathering before leaving on the 18th of this month.
Held at Crystal's place at Bukit Utama, it was a good night of chit-chatting, vodka, and friends.

---

For Friday Night, I drove to HELP for the Charity Auction thingie, ferrying Daniel and Ee Keen as well.
It was a brave attempt alright I wasn't really sure of my directions to HELP.

Earlier the day, Isabelle was mentioning how nice would it be if she is gonna be "purchased" by a hot dude.
But guess who "bought" her? Debra! haha.
At a relatively high value of RM150! Now, Debra, what have you had in mind for Isabelle to do for you? :P

Pictures from Belle.

"Kevin Cheng", Boon, Ethan, WeiKit, Belle and myself.

Izzy Gorgeous looking gorgeous. :)

Not long later, we left HELP and head off to The Curve to watch Colbie Caillat perform!
Met so many familiar faces there.

A great singer she is!

A day would never be complete without supper at a mamak stall don't you think so?
We drove off to Murni for supper after that.

LEEMIN!
We owe each other a long-time-no-see hug. haha :)

--

Next, 15th March.
It was a Saturday but I've got class. *yawns.

Later the day, SerSiang fetched me to Vincent's place for his 18th Birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR. WONG WEI JUNG!

Pictures from KhyLi.

The love birds for the night.
Hahahahaha.
It's so catchy when Khy Li says HUNNYBUNNY to Vincent. haha.

Me in Red, Siang in Yellow.
Bottom it's Magdalene, Joanna & Sarah.

That's ThianHong on the line with KhyLi!

XuLi!

WWG :).

**

Cake cutting time!

Look! Vincent and his concubines.
I know your parents are so proud of you Vince :D!

Vincent and his bunch of buddies. :)

Haha look at the size of the girls(except JanMing :P) compared to the guys (PAUL PHILIP) behind! Such distinctive size difference :b!

We had good food, wine, lamb! Not to forget a long debate on where to go after everything :P.
Vincent you're 18 man. Aah, big boy di ;).
Thanks for inviting! Without doubt I had fun the whole time and I'm pretty sure it's the same for others! Good food, good environment, but the best got to be the great company!

Like I've mentioned, it's hard to call it a day without going out for supper.
This time we went to William's instead. Guess who we saw there? WeiCheng :).

Then the group moved on to Rileys/Rhileys or however you spell it to play Foosball till 2am+..?
The gang were so engrossed with Foosball while I was watching how Arsenal was trailing Middlesbrough by 1-0!
The match ended in a 1-1 draw :b.
Guess Man. Utd. is currently in the driver seat as we move on in the Premiership!

---

16th March.
We TFD head to Sports Planet at Subang for a futsal tournament without the presence of Harith and Roshern.

That competition was never short of strong competitors, arguably one of the toughest tournament we've participated so far. We weren't performing at the level desired so we fell short at the early group stage. Devastating it is. We had to play the 1st two games without Mr. Goal-Scoring-Machine-Khairil who has to go HELP to settle his course payment first.

I suppose we got to buck up and look forward what's in store for us in the future.

Asia Cafe was where we had our lunch after that.

-You're so fine.

The Outcome ; 11 Years of Schooling.

Greetings.

---
12th March 2008

I smell the scent of anxiety around the school.
& I thought it was a bad omen as I saw a black cat before entering the school gate.
I say ;
"Have faith, and accept whatever comes."

---

All I can say is, As are over-rated.

So far, no reported cases of suicide or heart-attack. Fortunately.
If you're curious to know how I did, I scored 9As 1B.
Missed out on BM, I couldn't care much as I'm satisfied and think I'm pretty much done with it.

My highest salutations for those high-achievers.
Very, very commendable and proud of you all.
Scoring excellent results isn't as simple as.. eating French Fries?

But at times, when you don't score straight As, it doesn't mean you're not a bright student, definitely not.
You can possess much more integrity and intelligence than some who achieved higher number of As.

In the hall where we collect our results, it's a great feeling seeing the faces of ex-school mates, some in jubilant mood, while some in a rather solemn mood. Whatever it is, you did your best and we shall move on!

---

May Suen made her mark as one of the highest achiever in the country with a record amount of 15A1s, highest ever record in the history of SMKDJ.
Wanna know a bit of her personal life? She's a huge fan of Linkin Park.

XinHui, has all the reason to be delighted.
12A1s is no small deal.

Dina, you're a brilliant student. What can I say, 11As is great! Despite having so many responsibilities, you still manage to ace the exam. Kudos to you!
Joe who scored 11As, but failed to get a HONDA ACCORD as reward cause the reward only comes if he scores 11A1s, instead he scored 9A1s, 2A2s. Still, damn pro la Joe!
YewWeng is a Smart ass. 11As.
WeiGuan scored 11As and claimed she didn't study much. Liar :b.

The list goes on, sorry if I didn't mention your name, cause there are too many to mention here!

Current mood?

Thanks Pa, Thanks Mi.
& All who heleped and guided me through.

What's in it for you?

I really have been occupied lately, assignments and my Mid-Terms.
The bane of the assignments and assessments are inevitable.
So far I can say I did not too bad, except for Accounts.
This subject appears very much like a Martian to me. It's gonna be tough if I'm choosing to be an Accountant. Heaven forbids miracle happens.

So far, I got to know I scored the highest for Maths, Economics and Public Speaking Presentation in my class :).

---

A little note, our NS trainee friends will be back on the 11th March.
& doom's day is... (better not say anything to jinx it :P)
Call me superstitious or whatever you want.

---

Oh, a very belated birthday wish for Wei Kit here exclusively on my blog.

Our Buddha-look-a-like friend, who never fails to make us ;
  • laugh at his lame remarks
  • run away from his loud but friendly fart.
  • feel impressed with his exam grades.
  • feel excited/disgusted when he kisses YongMeng.
Happy Belated Birthday Soo Tho Wei Kit!

---

I watched 10, 000 BC recently.
THE MOVIE IS AWESOME SHIT.

I loved it.
  • Wanna watch how prehistoric men hunt down mammoths?
  • Wanna know what did the prehistoric man do when he came face to face with a saber toothed tiger?
  • Wanna check on the hot actress Evolet played by Camilla Belle?
  • You've got a thing for untidy men/women in prehistoric attire.
Either you suit the criteria above or you don't, I still recommend you to watch this movie. Good stuff.

----

Oh, election fever.
Who did you guys vote for? (if you're eligible to vote)
It kinda surprises me on how badly Barisan Nasional is defeated.
Like how Pak Lah mentioned ; "Clear proof of democracy at work in the country"
My intuitions are telling me this Barisan Nasional people are deeply devastated with their loss.

I know a great number of the people backing DAP.
Khy Li, Ethan, SerSiang's mum for example.
& how Dina has an infatuation on Tony Pua who won the parliamentary seat of Petaling Jaya Utara defeating Chew Mei Fun.

It's 2.00am now.
*yawns.
